Today we’d like to introduce you to Cayden Nigh.

Hi Cayden, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
The idea for House of Nigh first originated around 2015. In the beginning, this project started mostly as a creative outlet. Naturally, as effort and time progressed, House of Nigh developed into a full-time passion project. We unintentionally yet organically gravitated towards the luxury market. It’s paramount for us to be fully confident and transparent with our construction and to create pieces that we would wear everyday. We do this through material development, moral standards and our content development. I couldn’t be more proud of what we’re creating. After nearly four years of research and development, we released our first capsule in December of 2020.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
We have face(d) many of the same challenges that most start-ups run into. Though we took them as learning experiences for the next chapters. One particular issue we had was with trademarking, after we finally settled on a name, we unfortunately weren’t granted a trademark. So it was back to the drawing board finding something that resonated with the brand.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Personally, a majority of my passion lies in creative design and brand philosophy. To be able to create pieces that someone can personally identify with enough to wear on their backs is a truly rewarding experience. I’m very proud of how our last collection “Underground Boxing Club” came out. Through the art style, photography direction, and the pieces themselves. It became a very special release. Though I can’t wait to share sneak peaks of our next release. This might be my favorite yet!

Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
Risk is conducive to prosperity. We each have our own risk tolerance and should analyze accordingly. Personally, I have taken Incrementally larger risks as House of Nigh expands. I look forward to taking chances and growing as a person and as a business. Fingers crossed for much larger risks in the future.
